What is the pricing for a custom knife?
The pricing for a custom knife can vary a lot depending on the style, blade material, handle material, and other factors. Prices for a custom knife from Linus Knives range from around $175+
A hunting, EDC, chefs knife or other more basic style knife can be as low as only $175 depending on the specs!
We require a $100 deposit from your total balance to get started on your knife. Contact us first so we can work out all the details of your custom build THEN come back to our website and pay the $100 deposit to get your knife started!
How do I choose my design?
At Linus knives, I try to make it as easy as possible for you to choose your own design or choose one of mine! Just tell me what you're looking for (length, shape etc...) and I can draw something up from there. If you have your own idea and want to draw your own design, I can do that also.
I will not start on your knife until you are entirely happy with the design we have worked up together!
What are my steel options?
I offer a variety of different steel options.
My most popular option is AEB-L stainless steel. AEB-L was originally developed for razor blades. This alloy is formulated with enough carbon for the steel to get very hard but not make any chromium carbides. The extreme fine grain makes them easy to sharpen, have good edge holding, excellent edge stability and toughness.
I can also do carbon steel and other stainless options, just tell me what YOU want and I'll do my best to do it!
What are my handle material options?
I offer a wide variety of handle options from synthetics, resin, wood, and even some bone!
To choose the best material that will work for you and look the best on your knife, contact me and I'll show you the options. I love to get YOUR ideas and see what I can come up with!
How long is the wait time for a custom knife?
I will tell you an approximate wait time length when I get it touch with you. Usually I can get to your knife within a couple weeks of when you place your order and hopefully you can have your knife within 4-5 weeks of you placing your order! I strive to get to my custom orders as fast as possible to prevent long wait times for my customers. If you're on a time crunch and need a custom knife as fast as possible, reach out and I'll see what I can do for you!
How do I place an order for a custom knife?
Just fill out the custom order form with the details of what you want. I'll reach out to you within 48 hours and we'll go from there!
